About Entertaiment
Entertainment is an activity that holds the attention and interest of people and gives them pleasure or delight. This can be achieved through a wide range of activities such as movies, books, music, sports, live performances, and branded entertainment. The word comes from the Medieval Latin intertenere, which means “to hold inside.” Its Indo-European root is ten, which can also be found in words such as tense and tension. Entertainment is a subjective term and what may be considered entertaining to one person, could be regarded as work or even below human dignity by another. However, some forms of entertainment have proven to be timeless and cross over many different media.
